The RAYMOND C. PECOR JR was built for Lake Champlain Ferries and currently provides service from Grand Isle, Vermont to Cumberland Head, New York. The ferry was designed by John Gilbert Associates and is designed to withstand the rugged winter weather and ice conditions on Lake Champlain. The vessel is equipped with stainless steel propellers and is powered by two 1000 HP Caterpillar 3508C diesel engines. The ferry has a passenger capacity of 200 and a vehicle load capacity of 220 long tons.
