Eastern Shipbuilding Group’s recent Spring Blood Drive was a success! Partnering with OneBlood, Eastern hosted a Blood Drive at their Allanton Facility on April 14 & 15, 2020 and Nelson & Outfitting Facility on April 21 & 22, 2020. OneBlood collects donations across Florida and southern Georgia and Alabama, serving hundreds hospitals and healthcare centers across the same region with life-saving blood. During the Spring Blood Drive, Eastern employees donated 118 units of blood! This Blood Drive is significantly more urgent as the region and the country faces COVID-19. Eastern and One Blood appreciate the donations in these extraordinary times. Bob Babb, ESG’s Manager of Human Resources, worked with OneBlood’s Amy Walker, and planned the Spring Blood Drive at Eastern.
